George Calvin Rogers, Sr. was the sixth head college football coach for The Citadel Bulldogs located in Charleston, South Carolina and he held that position for four seasons, from 1913 until 1919. His career coaching record at The Citadel was 14 wins, 16 losses, and 3 ties. This ranks him 12th at The Citadel in total wins and 14th at The Citadel in winning percentage.〔(Citadel Coaching Records )〕 He also served as head baseball coach in 1914 and 1915 and resumed the position from 1921 through 1924.
